How often should I change the filters?

How long the filters last depends on a couple of different factors. Specifically, the quality of the air in your home AND how many hours per day you operate your unit. Based on the air quality in the average home in the United States and Canada and 24/7 operation, the lifetime of the filters is as follows

AD1000 

Filter Set - 6 months

AD2000 / AD2500

Ultra HEPA - 12 months

Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC - 6 months

AD3000 / AD3500

Ultra HEPA - 12 months

Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC - 6 months

AD5000 / AD5500

(2) Ultra HEPA - 12 months

(2) Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC - 6 months

AirDoctor will automatically alert you when it's time to replace each of the two main filters. A light indicating UltraHEPA or Carbon filter will light up on the front panel.
