You are welcome to try and recycle the filters, but in our experience, the recycling places will not take them. The reason is that all of the toxic debris leftovers from the air are captured by the filters and if they recycle it and crush it etc., the toxins will then be in the recycled materials.
We have been looking into setting up a recycling program in the future. In the meantime, you can discard them with your regular trash or we recommend that you contact your local city recycling management department to get their recommendations about recycling used air filters.
